Energy Management Technology Engineer - Milwaukee, WI

Position Purpose

Telkonet is the leading provider of innovative, centrally managed solutions for integrated energy management, networking, building automation and proactive support. Telkonet SmartEnergy (TSE) and Networked Telkonet SmartEnergy (NTSE) deliver typical bottom line savings of 30% or more by controlling in-room energy consumption according to occupancy, environment, time of day, humidity and configuration using a combination of networked occupancy sensors, thermostats and controllers.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an entry-level engineer to join our Telkonet SmartEnergy team based in our Milwaukee office. You will learn our TSE product line from the ground up, and will assist with customer meetings, site surveys, analysis and other aspects of business development and pre-sales engineering.

Education and Experience Required

  • A Bachelor’s of Science degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • A keen interest in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) engineering, particularly in the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamic principals a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills.
  • The ability to discuss highly technical products and applications with non-technical prospective clients.
  • An ability to travel extensively—as much as 75% of the time.



Installation Engineer - Los Angeles, CA / San Diego, CA / Miami, FL / Portland, OR / Seattle, WA / Milwaukee, WI

Position Purpose

Employees will be installing cabling and wireless equipment, executing network testing of both wireless and wired infrastructure and performing site surveys of new locations. Applicants will be trained in wired and wireless network infrastructures and EthoStream proprietary technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cable installation.
  • Review and test network connectivity.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Assess property layout and infrastructure and document accordingly.

Education and Experience Required

  • 3-5 years experience, at least one year of experience with computer networking, knowledge of structured cabling or related cable technician experience; good understanding of computer networking.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • 2-year degree in computer science/networking, etc., preferable but not required.
  • Network certifications preferable but not required.
  • Ability to communicate well, work independently.
  • This position requires 100% travel to client sites, with a fairly significant percentage of the travel by air.
  • Candidates must have access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.



Technical Support Specialist - Milwaukee, WI

Position Purpose

Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls regarding PC and networking troubleshooting
  • Maintain detailed call-tracking information
  • Monitor site and equipment status and facilitate maintenance

Education and Experience Required

  • At least one year of experience with Computer Networking, Customer Service, Phone Communication, and Technical Support.
  • Previous call center or technical support experience a benefit but not required. General computer knowledge required.
  • High School or Equivalent



Manufacturing and Assembly Technician - Milwaukee, WI

Position Purpose

Participate in manufacturing processes and rework techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Builds assemblies; determines component part placement from documentation and drawings and assembles components; performs hand soldering to solder semi-conductor components, chips, resistors, and capacitors onto circuit board.
  • Conducts testing; programs analyzer settings and connects appropriate fixture unit to conduct intermediate and final testing of units; ensures conformance to specifications.
  • Operate various hand and power tools; assemble parts
  • Knowledge of soldering techniques.

Education and Experience Required

  • 1 to 2 years expertise in rework, assembly and solder skills
  • High School or Equivalent
