Hospitality

Telkonet is focused on exceeding guests’ expectations, helping to deliver satisfied customers. Our solutions encompass high-speed Internet access (HSIA), energy management, and customer service – are all supported from a single web-based platform, giving you local and remote control to simplify your operations. With our end-to-end quality of service, you have the essential tools to easily monitor and mange your technology for all of your properties from one location.

Hospitality Savings

All of our turnkey, standards-compliant HSIA products are designed to support your evolving technology requirements. Our gateways are customizable, scalable and flexible for easy integration.

  • Our Telkonet iWire System offers a simple HSIA solution for properties where it is not cost-effective to run CAT-5 wiring. It uses a building’s existing internal electrical infrastructure to deliver Internet connectivity at electrical outlets using our patented powerline communications (PLC) technology. This is a perfect solution for older properties, properties with thick concrete or metal construction, or where wireless signals cannot reach throughout the property or cannot deliver consistent connectivity.
  • Our EthoStream Gateway Server (EGS) product line provides a wide range of wired and wireless HSIA solutions, from wireless hotspots to full-scale hospitality implementations.
  • We offer dual connectivity to completely eliminate network downtime with our EGS Pro Dual, so your guests will always be connected.
  • We can easily meet your guests’ needs for bandwidth-intensive Internet applications, such as online video gaming, with the EthoStream Bandwidth Management System, providing you with an additional revenue stream.
  • Our EGS product line is directly integrated into Telkonet CENTRAL, our proprietary, comprehensive web-based management platform. Hotel management can locally and remotely view, monitor and manage all properties, Internet users and energy management in real time to proactively impact the offerings they provide to ensure quality service. At the same time, our dedicated, in-house Customer Support center is also directly integrated into Telkonet CENTRAL, giving our staff real-time Internet connectivity data about each guest and property for quick, proactive problem resolution.

“…With Telkonet’s in-room energy management products, we are significantly reducing energy usage and extending our HAVC equipment life, while allowing guests to control the temperature while they are in their rooms...”
Dan Gilligan, Vice president of Utilities for Motel 6 parent company, Accor North America

We are helping hotels and timeshares implement GREEN initiatives with our energy management systems – Networked Telkonet SmartEnergy (NTSE) and Telkonet SmartEnergy (TSE). With HVAC costs typically accounting for more than 50% of a building's electricity overhead, controlling in-room energy consumption is a prime requirement.

  • TSE and NTSE use occupancy sensors, along with intelligent programmable thermostats or packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) controllers, to adjust and maintain a room's temperature according to occupancy, eliminating wasteful heating and cooling of unoccupied rooms, as well as having to manually change temperature settings in each room.
  • Our systems also reduce the run-time for HVAC equipment, helping to decrease maintenance overhead and increase the equipments’ working life, resulting in further maintenance savings.
  • Most importantly, our energy management systems deliver optimum energy savings without compromising guest comfort, thanks to our patented Recovery Time™ technology, which ensures the guest’s preferred temperature setting will quickly be achieved once they return to the room.

“This (EthoStream’s RMC) is an invaluable tool, enabling us to access and monitor all our properties and Internet users from a single location. It is exactly this sort of innovation that puts EthoStream on a different level to other vendors, and is behind our selection of its technology as our preferred option”.
Jeff Henschel, Assistant VP of Technology, Destination Hotels & Resorts
