Decreasing Operating Costs and Reducing Carbon Footprints

At Telkonet Inc., we are a clean energy company that helps our clients decrease operating expenses, reduce carbon footprints and improve sustainability with the green technology EcoSmart intelligent automation platform. The data EcoSmart archives from a facility’s energy usage patterns can be used to qualify for green certification, secure rebates from a local utility or prove a facility has achieved brand sustainability standards.

USGBC

We are a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), who developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ to benchmark the environmental performance of commercial buildings. Our commitment to help the USGBC promote the implementation of LEED certification includes senior management accepting a position on the USGBC Board of Director’s Technology Seat.

LEED Certification

Installing an EcoSmart system can help your facility qualify for up to 22 LEED points to achieve LEED certification. Our EcoSmart Sales Team has years of experience in guiding clients through the certification process and can help you achieve your sustainability goals.

California Title 24

The 2013 California Title 24 Green Building Standards Code imposes mandatory energy efficiency requirements for nonresidential buildings as of July 2014. These standards identify numerous opportunities where controlling space temperature, lighting and plug loads will result in a substantial reduction in energy costs and carbon emissions.

Although no clear recommendations are stated in the standards as to how to achieve control of space temperature, lighting and plug loads, it stands to reason that implementing an intelligent energy management system that has been designed to seamlessly monitor and control all these devices through a cloud-based command center is a better solution than cobbling separate components and trying to integrate a number of independent manufacturers' products.

EcoSmart is the answer to Title 24 compliance by achieving a balance between energy efficiency and occupant comfort. By intelligently controlling the temperature and plug loads in unoccupied spaces, an EcoSmart system allows a facility to decrease energy usage without a negative impact to occupant comfort.
